How much weight can you lose by being on a high protein diet?

If you eat 5 to 6 small high protein meals and exercise for 1 1/2 hours a day. I’m a 16 year old female. I also want to know if I will gain a lot of muscle and look like I’m built like a man?

    you burn more calories digesting protein than you do carbs or fat, but make sure it is healthy protein. my favorite high protein snack is edamame. The only way to look like a man, is workout like one!

    You will lose the body fat with the work out.
    but yeh u will gain some muscle from a lot of protein, you should have a stomach workout if your on protein to to keep yourself toned on the abs.

    u will not become “built like a man” unless you do a lot of weightlifting.

    No..you won’t “look like a man.” Women’s muscles develop differently than mens. Not a sexist statement, just fact.
    I compete in all Natural Bodybuilding and the women bodybuilders are cut and ripped, but very, VERY femine!
    As far as how much you can loose, it really depends on your current body fat level. And, at your age, don’t cut out all carbs. Yes, unused carbs do convert to bodyfat fairly fast, but for healthy living, try and have at least 280 to 340 grams of complex carbs (whole wheat bread, brown rice, oatmeal, etc) a day for normal body and brain functions. I have to go low to no carbs the week before a contest, and it is NOT a diet I’d recommend for any lenght of time!
    Follow the above advice, coupled with your exercise plan, and count on loosing between 2 to 3 lbs a week the first 3 or 4 weeks, then about 1 to 2 lbs a week thereafter. And you’ll be doing it in a healthy way.

    Check out the South Beach diet its a healthier way to lose weight. I did atkins and lost a lot of weight without any exercise. I would suggest doing south beach and half an hour of exercise a day. Take it easy your still very young and your growing still so be safe.
